So we went for a long distance recovery pace run today. It started out just fine and then all heck broke lose. Long story short someone started a whipping war with our shirts and it just kinda escalated from there. i ended up with some pretty narley welts but as the great JFK once said, "Ask not what pain your teammates can give to you, ask what pain you can give to your teammates" or something like that. Eventually we all called a truce and went on with our run. Every now and again you have those runs that remind you how much you love this sport. Usually those runs take you places you didn't even know were there and more often then not put you over mileage. But whats a distance run without a little trail blazing, trespassing and some welts just for good measure. Shout out to Mike for the one that's still visible 5 hours later.
